Sika® Black Jack®-908 D.P.M.

Sika® Black Jack®-908 D.P.M. is a ready-to-use, rubber-enriched bitumen emulsion that serves as a highly effective sandwich damp-proof membrane for floors and a powerful waterproofer for walls, foundations, and above-ground structures. Beyond its waterproofing capabilities, it acts as a versatile adhesive and bonding agent for various construction materials.

Primary Applications

• Damp-Proofing: Provides a sandwich damp-proof membrane for floors and general waterproofing for fibre/cement, render, and plaster.
• Structural Protection: Waterproofs bridge abutments, retaining walls, culverts, and concrete or brick foundations.
• Adhesive & Bonding: Ideal for fixing wood blocks, wooden mosaic flooring, insulation boards, expanded polystyrene, and cork slabs.
• Substrate Preparation: Acts as a bonding agent for plastering difficult surfaces (e.g., glazed tiles) and functions as a curing agent for concrete.

Technical Data

• Yield / Coverage:
  • Floors: 5 L covers approx. 6–6.5 m² per coat; 25 L covers 30–32.5 m² per coat.
  • Walls: 5 L covers approx. 10 m² per coat; 25 L covers 50 m² per coat.
• Drying Time: 4–6 hours depending on conditions.
• Application Temperature: +5 °C to +50 °C (surfaces must be ice-free).
• Chemical Base: Rubber-enhanced bitumen in water-based emulsion.
