Sika® Black Jack®-902 Bitumen & Flashing Primer is a thin, solvent-based black primer designed to provide an essential "key" or grip for surfaces before the application of bitumen paints, roof coatings, and flashing tapes. It ensures superior adhesion and a long-lasting, professional finish for waterproofing projects.

Main Uses

• Roofing & Floors: Ideal for priming concrete roofs, floors, cementitious screeds, and renders.
• Bituminous Surfaces: Suitable for use on bitumen felt, asphalt, and mastic.
• Building Materials: Can be applied to wood and weathered corrugated iron or steel.
• Flashing: Acts as the recommended primer prior to applying Black Jack® Flashing Tape.

Characteristics & Advantages

• Fast Drying: Typically dries in 3–6 hours, depending on environmental conditions.
• Enhanced Adhesion: Specially formulated to provide a solid bond for all bituminous coatings.
• Chemical Resistance: Resistant to water, most salt solutions, and dilute acids or alkalis.
• Temperature Range: Once overcoated, it maintains a service temperature range of -20 °C to +50 °C.

• Application Temperature: +5 °C to +40 °C (surfaces must be free from ice and water).
