Product Overview
This product is a highly versatile framing anchor designed to provide the most effective and economical method of creating strong mechanical joints in timber construction. Unlike handed versions, the MFAC is a "no-bend" universal anchor suitable for both right and left-handed applications.
Engineered for structural reliability, these anchors are ideal for a variety of tasks including anchoring joists to beams, securing stringers to headers, and reinforcing hip joints. Manufactured from 0.9mm pre-galvanized mild steel, they offer excellent durability and resistance to deformation under load.
Key Features & Benefits
- Universal Design: Can be used for right or left-handed connections, simplifying stock requirements on site.
- Strong Mechanical Joints: Provides a robust, load-bearing connection that is superior to standard nailing alone.
- Corrosion Protection: Zinc-coated to 275g/m² (Gavanized) to ensure long-term performance in internal and protected environments.
- Multi-Purpose: Suitable for a wide range of timber-to-timber framing applications, from rafters and trusses to floor joists.
- Certified Performance: Covered by European Technical Approval (ETA) and fully load-tested for safety-critical structural use.

Installation & Safety Advice
To ensure structural integrity and achieve the declared load capacities, anchors must always be used in pairs to prevent eccentric loading on the timber members.
Recommended Fixings:
- Use 3.75 x 30mm square twisted nails (Sherardized or Galvanized).
- For maximum performance, all available timber-facing nail holes must be filled.
- Avoid "over-driving" nails to ensure the galvanized coating remains intact and the steel is not weakened.
