Installation & Safety Advice
To ensure maximum structural performance and adherence to safety standards, please follow these installation guidelines:
- Fixings: For maximum load capacity, fill all available nail holes using 3.75 x 30mm square twisted nails, or use M12 bolts/coach screws as specified by the project engineer.
- Joist Preparation: Joists must be cut square with a maximum gap of 6mm allowed from the rear of the hanger.
- Safety Check: Ensure the hanger sides cover at least 60% of the joist height to prevent rotation during use.
- Structural Support: Ensure the structure has suitable noggins and Herringbone strutting installed before applying any significant load.
- Sizing: Always verify that the hanger is the correct size for the joist; any slack should be packed out to ensure a tight, secure fit.
